Astronics-PECO, located in picturesque Clackamas, Oregon near the foothills of Mt. Hood, designs, certifies, manufactures, and sells a wide range of products to commercial, government, and military markets throughout the world. Our highly engineered interior and structural aerospace products are supplied to the largest aircraft manufacturers and are installed in aircraft around the globe, and our military products are used in critical national defense applications. The Max-Viz enhanced visions systems (EVS) are designed and certified for use as an improvement to safety by a vast array of airplanes, helicopters, and unmanned-aerial-vehicles in the commercial, government, and military marketplace. PECO-Controls are well established temperature control devices designed for applications where high quality is a must, such as the hospitality industry, commercial cooking, and other critical applications.
We are looking for a Test Technician to join our team to support test activities for both development programs and in-production recurring testing. The incumbent in this position will work to develop test plans, test procedures and test reports for all aspects of mechanical and electrical components we produce.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform functional and optical testing on production parts following established procedures
- Evaluate precision and accuracy of production and testing equipment and engineering drawings to identify potential test issues
- Create and update testing documentation and work instructions
- Assist in development of testing procedures for new and existing projects based on drawing and customer requirements
- Analyze statistical data and product specifications to determine acceptability criteria and offer opportunities for process improvement
- Assist in design and fabrication of new test fixturing to simplify testing procedures
- Observe safety and security procedures, report potentially unsafe conditions
- Attend Quality Manual Standards Training and applies Quality Standards accordingly
Desired Trainings, Skills and Experience:
- Aptitude or experience in electronics or electronics testing, required
- Two to three years of related experience, preferred
- Experience writing test documentation or work instructions, preferred
- Experience with SolidWorks, Autocad, or CATIA, preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, required
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency with MS Office applications and ability to learn software specific to testing, required
