Position Summary/Objective
The Human Resources Coordinator provides assistance with and facilitates the human resource processes at all business locations, providing administrative support to the human resource function as needed, including record-keeping, file maintenance, and HRIS entry. Reporting to the Global Manager, Compensation & Benefits, the Human Resources Coordinator will also manage all payroll activities to ensure the timely and accurate payment of team member wages and, maintain documentation for all payroll processes.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Owns domestic payroll processing (ADP Workforce Now); facilitates weekly and bi-weekly pay runs (30-50% of the week)
- Administers health and welfare plans, including enrollments, changes and terminations. Processes required documents through payroll and insurance providers to ensure accurate record-keeping and proper deductions.
- Conducts new team member orientation to foster positive attitude toward company goals.
- Reconciles benefits statements and maintains all benefits documents and filings, audits, and any other regulatory benefits filing.
- Conducts audits of benefits or other HR programs and recommends corrective action.
- Administers all Human Resources transactions, including new hires, status changes and terminations
- Administers and maintains all employment data records, EEO-1 filings, and any other regulatory report related to employment data.
- Assists the HR Manager with recruitment and interview process as needed and initiates pre-employment background checks, drug screen and physical authorizations and coordinates with hiring managers for onboarding
- Assists EHS Coordinator with workmen’s compensation payroll reporting.
- Collecting and verifying employee timekeeping data to process payroll
- Continuously reviews processes to detect inefficiencies and streamline duties
- Makes photocopies; mails, scans, and emails documents; processes mail; and performs other clerical functions.
- Handles employee verification and wage verification requests.

Required Education and Experience
- 1-2 years related experience and/or training
- 1-2 years related experience in payroll administration or finance preferred
- SHRM-CP, PHR and/or CPP a plus
- ADP experience preferred
Additional Preferred Skills, Experience, and Certifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field
- Strong ability in using Microsoft Office (MS Word, MS Excel and Outlook in particular)
- Strong written and oral communication skills for correspondence, reports and other company materials
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and strict confidentiality.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to use a phone, computer and other basic office equipment for sustained periods of time with prolonged periods of sitting
- Ability to perform basic filing functions, such as standing, lifting, and stooping to access file cabinets
Special Working Conditions / Travel Requirements
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, photocopiers and smartphones. Little to no travel is expected for this position.
