QUALIFICATIONS :
- Minimum, three (3) years of experience in an office and / or professional setting, with experience in human resources
- Strong knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word, and Google Workspace
- Excellent oral, written, and listening skills
- Proven ability to self-motivate, and work independently as well as part of a team
- Can take on a variety of tasks, is adaptable, and can anticipate opportunities for additional contributions
- Experience working with Collective Bargaining Unit Agreements (union contracts)
- Ability to multitask and set priorities for self, manage time to achieve goals / complete projects on or ahead of schedule, and work with interruptions
- Ability to streamline and simplify reports and processes
- Experience with HRIS system(s), Frontline, Tyler Visions and ASPEN
- High level of integrity and confidentiality. . Full time in-office position ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS : As the primary contact for newly hired staff, the HR Coordinator is responsible for but not limited to the following :
- Assist with the timely and efficient processing of new employees and assist exiting employees with the termination process
- Ensure completion of all necessary employment paperwork and other related documents required by federal law
- Maintain HRIS system(s), data entry
- Daily absentee management in Frontline
- Oversees maintenance of RIDE required certification of employees
- Ensure completion and verification of Personal Learning Unit's (PLU's) for educator certification renewal
- Manage the FMLA leave administration process for all employees
- Responsible for the supervision of all substitute teachers, clerical / secretarial, and paraprofessionals
- Assist school staff with requests for completion of Verification's of Employment and Loan Forgiveness forms
- Assist in the daily administration of all district personnel policies and labor contracts
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
- Assist the HR Manager with data collecting for various projects throughout the year
- Serve as point of contact for Human Resources related questions and concerns, including maintaining the Human Resources email inbox
- Accurate data entry required
- Perform other tasks and duties as assigned by the Human Resources Manager and / or the Superintendent of Schools
