Job Purpose
The Sport Group America IT Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of a company's information technology operations, including managing local IT staff, planning, and implementing IT policies, ensuring the security and efficiency of IT systems, analyzing technology needs, and implementing strategic upgrades to support business goals in alignment with Group IT. This role will be a hands-on regional leader of the IT function, ensuring technology aligns with company objectives.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assess current and future technology needs and recommend technology upgrades to optimize operations.
- Oversee IT budget allocation, cost control, and evaluate and manage relationships with local IT vendors.
- Lead and supervise local IT team members, including performance evaluations, training, and development.
- Manage and provide technical support for network infrastructure, server maintenance, software installations, and system upgrades.
- Ensure security of data, network access, and backup systems.
- Lead local IT projects from initiation to completion, including planning, resource allocation, and stakeholder communication.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity.
- Document business processes and map them in existing or future IT systems.
- Administer, maintain, and support users in our Main Business Applications (ERP, BI, CRM etc.)
- Manage projects and development of IT systems with close collaboration with Group IT in Germany.
- Lead the advancement of digitalization in business processes.
- May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as computer science, information technology, or management information systems
- Experience:
- 3-5 years of practical experience in managing Main Business Applications – ERP, BI, CRM etc. ideally based on MS technology for ERP/CRM (MS Dynamics 365 Business Central and MS Dynamics 365 Sales) and Qlik Sense for BI
- Working experience with SQL Databases (e.g., MS SQL Server)
- Ability to develop, motivate and manage a small team of IT professionals
- Strong understanding of network infrastructure, operating systems, and security protocols
- Project management skills with the ability to plan, execute, and monitor IT projects within budget and timelines
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve technical issues
- Effective communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Understanding of business goals and aligning IT initiatives to support business processes
- High degree of professionalism in dealing with diverse groups of people.
