Principal Business Systems Analyst
The Business Systems Analyst V position is responsible for gathering requirements, working with end-users in implementing ERP solutions, continuous improvements, defining Business Intelligence needs, and software programs. The analyst will maintain proficiency and develops expertise in the application and use of systems, tools, and processes within the department's scope. It will contribute to enhancing the functional capabilities of the Microsoft Dynamics Finance & Operations (F&O) Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system to meet the needs of Asurion’s core business units
Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions:
- Responsible for participating in all phases of the project life cycle including analyzing, designing, modeling, testing, and deploying suitable and appropriate solutions.
- Participates in full ERP development lifecycle from requirements gathering through implementation of various ERP functional architecture solutions. Including: functional design, technical review, test planning and development, and user acceptance.
- Create Functional Specification document for required customizations
- High degree of initiative and personal responsibility
- Self-motivated individual, who can work in dynamic conditions and within deadlines.
- Implement product best practices based on Microsoft Dynamics standards and supported configuration.
- Explores newly released features and functionality in order to identify enhancement opportunities to standardize/improve processes while ensuring compliance to the business management goals and objectives
- Maintains a working knowledge of Asurion's internal applications and system integration to anticipate cross-system or cross-process impacts
- Be the Lead subject matter expert in cross-functional projects to represent the requirements and expectations of the technical and business teams.
- Troubleshoot issues and identify solutions to increase operational efficiencies.
- Maintains a strong level of understanding of the Asurion markets.
- Work closely with the business units to gain in-depth understanding of stakeholder's business strategy, processes, services, roadmap, and the context in which Asurion operates
- Operates with a practical approach to solutioning that optimizes architecture activities across company needs, business constraints, and technological realities
- Analyzes new offering in the F&O suite and ancillary applications, their effective maturity and potential value for continuous improvement initiatives.
- Has good knowledge on SQL scripting and can leverage to root cause issues, provide development feedback/direction, and perform urgent business stakeholder remedies
- Good knowledge of X language to perform technical review of code to meet a solution requirement and work with a developer
- Able to lead design, mapping, and integration implementation using EDI and cXML technology
- Reviews production performance testing result and provides feedback/direction on how to address issues, including SQL tuning and process re-engineering
Skills, Experience & Educational Requirements:
- 10 years of Technical/Business Systems Analyst experience required
- 8 years of hands-on experience working with Dynamics AX or similar ERP systems
- Degree in computer science/information systems/business (or equivalent experience); professional certifications preferred
- Proficient with SQL, AzureDevOps, Visio, MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point)
- Familiarity with X language (or similar) to provide guidance, identify risks, and assess the solution (development experience preferred)
- Experience developing low-code solution within Microsoft technology stack
- Experience as Process Owner or Product Manager
- Experience in MySQL, JavaScript, HTML, Shell Scripting, Agile, or Lean IT methodologies
- Knowledge of Azure Data Lake, Microsoft LCS, and D365 Data Management
- Thorough experience with Power BI and/or related business analytics tools
- Thorough understanding of IT infrastructure topics such as databases, servers, cloud systems, networking etc.
- Extensive knowledge of EDI and cXML technologies
- Extensive knowledge of ETL and automation tools.
- Experience working with QA automation tools such as RSAT, Selenium, Coded UI, UFT/QTP
- Demonstrated excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Excellent presentation kills and fluency in both technical and business terminology
- Understand how to build and maintain positive client and peer relationships
- Time management, organization, and problem-solving skills are a must
