Job Summary
As a Direct Support Professional, you will be responsible for providing care and support to individuals in their home and in the community. Your role involves assisting individuals with daily activities, ensuring their well-being, and promoting their independence.
Duties
- Implement care plans and provide assistance with activities of daily living
- Support individuals with behavioral management (if applicable)
- Uphold individual rights and maintain a safe and supportive environment
- Provide home care services and support individuals with autism spectrum disorder
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of individual information
Skills
- Ability to assist individuals with mobility challenges
- Proficiency in developing and implementing care plans
- Knowledge of behavioral interventions (BSP)
- Understanding of individual rights and advocacy principles
- Familiarity with home care procedures and supporting individuals with autism spectrum disorder
- Awareness of HIPAA regulations and privacy practices
Must have an active driver's license and reliable transportation.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 5 – 10 per week
