Armed and Unarmed Security Officer

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Armed Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, staff, and visitors. This role requires a proactive approach to security and the ability to respond effectively to various situations. The Armed Security Officer will utilize their training in conflict management, surveillance, and first aid to ensure the safety of all individuals on the premises.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and patrol assigned areas to prevent and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity.
• Operate and monitor CCTV systems to ensure comprehensive surveillance of the facility.
• Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies, providing assistance as necessary.
• Conduct thorough inspections of buildings, grounds, and equipment to identify potential security risks.
• Enforce rules and regulations while maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
• Provide first aid or CPR when required, ensuring immediate care for any injuries or medical emergencies.
• Collaborate with law enforcement agencies as needed during incidents or investigations.
• Document all incidents, observations, and actions taken in detailed reports for future reference.
• Engage in loss prevention strategies to minimize theft or damage to property.

Qualifications

• Valid armed security officer license or certification as required by local regulations.
• Previous experience in law enforcement or security is preferred but not mandatory.
• Proficiency in conflict management techniques and ability to handle difficult situations calmly.
• Knowledge of surveillance systems including CCTV operation is highly desirable.
• First aid and CPR certification is a plus; willingness to obtain certification if not already held.
• Strong observational skills with attention to detail in identifying potential threats.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
