We have an IMMEDIATE Temp to Hire FULL-TIME Door Assembly -Production Associate position with a leading carpentry manufacturer for 1st SHIFT!!! If you have carpentry experience, we would like to hear from you.
Pay : $18-$20 / hr. to start
Work Schedule : 7am-4pm M-F
What will I be doing? :
Install structures and fixtures, such as windows, frames, and trim, or hardware, using carpenter's hand and power tools.
Perform the levelling and trimming of doors using implements such as power sanders and planers.
Assemble and fasten materials to make framework or props, using hand tools and wood screws, nails, dowel pins, or glue.
Take measurements of wood materials to establish suitable dimensions for a finishing project
Measure and mark cutting lines on materials, using, pencil, chalk, and marking gauge.
Follow established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean environment.
Shape or cut materials to specified measurements, using hand tools, machines, or power saw.
Read and follow specifications in work tickets, blueprints, or sketches to prepare doors and determine dimensions and materials required.
Must be able to assemble a set number of units per day. This number will be fluctuated based on the assigned orders set by supervisor.
Perform minor fixes on wooden doors using glue and irons.
Requirements :
Previous experience working with wood using power tools, tape measure and hand tools
Carpentry Experience
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
Familiarity with hand and power tools used in door assembly
Strong attention to detail, ensuring precise measurements and cuts
Physical ability to stand, bend, and lift heavy objects for extended periods
Effective communication skills for collaborative work with assemblers and team members
Flexibility to work different shifts and overtime when needed
