The MEDICAL SURGICAL REGISTERED NURSE (RN) is a healthcare provider who through education and experience possesses a distinct body of knowledge and skills relative to the care of the patient across the lifespan who is experiencing general medical conditions or general surgical interventions. The MEDICAL SURGICAL REGISTERED NURSE (RN) applies general nursing knowledge in assessing, implementing, and evaluating patient response to general and specific conditions, general therapies and interventions.
