Psychiatric RN

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated PSYCHIATRIC NURSE to join our healthcare team for a 6 month contract with potential to extend. The ideal candidate will have a passion for mental health care and providing support to patients in need.

Dayshift 6a-3p rotating shifts

$55/h local rate

Travel stipend available for travel greater than 50 miles, $1500/week nontax, $20.33/h taxed, Gross per week $2232.00

Responsibilities:

- Conduct patient assessments and develop individualized care plans

- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by psychiatrists

- Monitor patient progress and report any changes in mental or physical health

- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care

- Educate patients and families on mental health conditions and treatment options

- Provide emotional support and crisis intervention as needed

Experience:

-MUST HAVE PSYCHIATRIC NURSING EXPERIENCE

- Physiology knowledge

- Proficiency in administering injections

- Familiarity with hospital medicine practices

- Knowledge of workers' compensation law related to psychiatric care

- Experience in health coaching for mental wellness
