What are the responsibilities and job description for the Outage Coordinator position at ATC?
Do you thrive on seeing the big picture while making real-time decisions? We're seeking an Outage Coordinator to ensure the reliable and secure operation of our transmission system by scheduling and coordinating the safe switching of planned transmission equipment outages.
Key Responsibilities:
- Use your 3 years of experience in interconnected electrical system operations to perform, analyze, and interpret system studies, including contingency analysis and power-flows, for planned outage conditions.
- Develop action plans from these studies to support the creation of Operating Guides and Operator Instructions.
- Create detailed, peer-reviewed switching instructions to ensure safe and secure switching operations.
- Coordinate with interconnected entities performing work that may impact the transmission system (e.g., generator or relay testing).
- Communicate and coordinate with local distribution companies when load is at risk during planned outage activities.
