Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the maintenance and repair of generators, including diesel and gas-powered units.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to maximize equipment lifespan and efficiency.
- Diagnose faults, perform troubleshooting, and oversee corrective actions to minimize downtime.
- Ensure adherence to safety regulations, environmental policies, and company standards.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, service logs, and inventory of spare parts.
- Train and mentor maintenance staff on generator operations, safety procedures, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and contractors for parts procurement and external servicing.
- Assist in budgeting and cost management for maintenance operations.
- Respond to emergency breakdowns and provide technical support for critical issues.
- Conduct routine inspections to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Education: Diploma or Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in generator maintenance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of diesel/gas generators, electrical systems, control panels, and fuel systems.
- Certifications: Relevant technical certifications in generator maintenance and electrical safety are preferred.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to diagnose faults and implement effective repair solutions.
- Leadership: Experience managing a team and ensuring efficient work execution.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for reporting and team coordination.
- Computer Skills: Proficiency in maintenance management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Physical Ability: Capable of working in outdoor environments and lifting/moving heavy equipment when required.
- Experience working with major generator brands (e.g., Caterpillar, Cummins, Perkins, etc.).
