Job Description:
Position Overview:
- Test Engineer P&C 1 with 3-7 years of relevant experience to join our team in Forest Park, GA.
- This position plays a critical role in the development and execution of detailed test plans for Protection & Control (P&C) systems, ensuring the performance, safety, and reliability of these systems against specified requirements. The ideal candidate will collaborate with design engineers, developers, and product managers to ensure comprehensive testing and analysis of P&C systems
Key Responsibilities:
Test Planning & Execution:
- Develop and execute detailed test plans for P&C systems, ensuring they meet performance, safety, and reliability requirements.
Testing Procedures & Methodologies:
- Implement and manage testing procedures, tools, and methodologies for thorough evaluation of P&C systems under various conditions and scenarios.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with design engineers, developers, and product managers to understand system functionalities and derive accurate test criteria.
Data Analysis:
- Analyze test data to identify deviations, anomalies, or issues in P&C system performance and provide detailed feedback to relevant stakeholders.
Recommendations & Enhancements:
- Based on test results, recommend modifications, enhancements, or updates to P&C systems to improve their performance and functionality.
Regulatory & Quality Assurance Compliance:
- Ensure testing activities are compliant with regulatory standards, industry best practices, and organizational quality assurance protocols.
Documentation:
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of test protocols, results, analyses, and recommendations to ensure transparent communication and future reference.
Troubleshooting & Diagnostics:
- Participate in troubleshooting activities to resolve issues discovered during testing, working with technical teams to facilitate solutions.
Testing Equipment Maintenance:
- Maintain and calibrate testing equipment and apparatus to ensure accurate and reliable testing outcomes.
Continuous Improvement:
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing methodologies and practices.
- Stay updated with technological advancements and industry trends related to P&C systems and testing.
Relationship Building:
- Build effective relationships with plant staff, design engineering teams, and vendors to facilitate smooth testing and troubleshooting activities.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (preferably Electrical, Mechanical, or related field) from an accredited institution.
Experience:
- 3-7 years of experience in testing, validation, and analysis of P&C systems, or related engineering fields.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in testing tools and methodologies relevant to P&C systems.
- Strong knowledge of Protection & Control systems, including their operation and testing requirements.
- Experience with data analysis, troubleshooting, and diagnosing system issues.
Regulatory Knowledge:
- Familiarity with relevant regulatory standards and industry practices related to P&C systems and testing.
Collaboration:
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including design engineers, developers, and product managers.
