Well-established women's medical imaging organization seeking a Medical Records Clerk. We currently have 14 physical locations that provide state-of-the-art 2D / 3D diagnostic medical imaging services specializing in digital mammography and breast ultrasound.
The candidate will be responsible for responding to requests for patient images and reports. Candidate will document requests and responses in patient's electronic chart. This person is responsible for electronic sending and receiving of patient images and reports. In cases where electronic transfer is not an option, this person will prepare CD's, print reports and facilitate timely mailing to requesting entity. This person will cross train with others in our Patient Communications Department. You must be a team player, and possess professional etiquette. GENERAL SUMMARY
- Upload incoming images via CD or electronic receipt.
- Prepare medical images and reports for mailing when needed.
- Facilitate electronic transfer and receipt of patient images.
- Scanning, faxing and filing documents.
- General office duties.
- Organization and utilization of common office programs, data entry, answering phones, assisting with patient requests for medical records and other duties required within the Patient Communications Department.
- Knowledge HIPAA regulations/requirements is helpful.
REQUIREMENTS
Must be a High School graduate (or equivalent) and have at least 2 years of related work experience in a physician's office.
- Proficiency in basic Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, Outlook) and the ability and willingness to learn our scheduling and EMR software.
COMPENSATION:
- Employer pays 75% of the health insurance premium for the employee and offer spouse or family coverage at employee cost.
- Two weeks of PTO / vacation plus federal national holidays (typically 6 days). Three weeks of PTO / vacation after year 2 of employment.
- 401k plan with a minimum of 4% employer contribution.
