Athenian Grill l in Lexington, KY is looking for one chef to join our 27 person strong team. We are located on 313 S Ashland Ave. Our ideal candidate is self-driven, ambitious, and reliable. We are a family run business in Lexington and we are looking to add a Chef in our team.

Responsibilities

* Prepare food: Oversee the preparation of ingredients, including cutting, chopping, and marinating * Cook: Cook and season dishes using culinary expertise * Lead kitchen staff: Delegate tasks to kitchen staff to ensure meals are prepared on time * Manage food stock: Monitor food stock and place orders to avoid shortages * Design menus: Create menus based on seasonal availability of food items * Experiment with new ingredients: Try new ingredients to keep the menu innovative * Follow sanitation regulations: Be familiar with sanitation regulations *Prepare dishes to customer preferences *Train and develop cooks as needed
Qualifications

*Strong attention to detail with exceptional organizational skills *Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate the team *Relevant food safety and handling certificate *Experience as a chef is a plus

Available shifts and compensation: We have available shifts all days of the week. Compensation is $19.00 - $25.00/hour.
