For Athens County individuals with developmental disabilities, we provide quality services by assessing their needs and creating individual plans. We offer education, employment, life skills training, recreation, transportation, residential support, services coordination, and more. We help to integrate individuals with developmental disabilities into their community as valued citizens.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred;
- Must have good intermediate computer and keyboarding skills;
- Strong professionalism with ability to maintain confidentiality;
- Ability to operate standard office equipment such as fax machines, copiers, etc.;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and customer service disposition essential;
- Ability to multitask with strong organizational skills;
- Ability to work effectively with a diverse population;
- Ability to independently create and maintain tracking systems and processes.
Job Duties:
- Provide administrative support services to the Service & Support Administration (SSA) staff. Duties include generating program or business-related material, maintaining files, record keeping, preparing confidential documents, organizing/analyzing/monitoring data, updating and maintaining data in software systems and state website; creating new data management tools as needed; maintaining and ordering supplies; calendar management, distributing/tracking Athens on Demand tickets, and taking meeting minutes as needed. Must proofread work and make necessary corrections/updates.
- Process all Individual Service Plans (ISPs) for the SSA department; includes system submission and mailing documentation to individuals served/their teams, and tracking documentation to ensure processing is following DODD/Ohio Administrative Code (OAC) requirements and timelines.
- Perform general office duties including, but not limited to: filing, distributing/routing mail, copying, and faxing.
- Provide professional customer service; answer multi-line telephone, provide general information, and receive messages/inquiries from visitors, staff, and consumers. Route calls appropriately. Greet and direct visitors. Communicate and interact with a wide range of constituents.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
