Job Summary:
Athens Eye Consultants is seeking a highly skilled and experienced ophthalmic technician to join our team. As a member of our team, you will play a crucial role in assisting Dr. Gadlin, our ophthalmologist, in the diagnosis and treatment of eye diseases and conditions. You will work alongside Dr. Gadlin to provide high-quality patient care and ensure that all diagnostic tests and procedures are performed accurately and efficiently.
Responsibilities:
-Perform refractions
-Perform preliminary eye examinations and vision tests
-Obtain and document patient medical histories
-Assist in diagnostic procedures
-Administer eye drops and other medications as directed by Dr. Gadlin
-Perform ophthalmic photography and imaging
-Prepare patients for surgical procedures
-Provide patient education and instruction regarding treatment and follow-up care
-Ensure that patient charts and records are accurate and up-to-date
-Collaborate with Dr. Gadlin to ensure the best possible patient care
Requirements:
-Ability to perform refractions
-High school diploma or equivalent required
-Completion of an ophthalmic technician program preferred
-Minimum of 1 year of experience as an ophthalmic technician
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
-Knowledge of ophthalmic procedures and equipment
-Strong attention to detail and accuracy
-Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
-Ability to work independently and as part of a team
-Excellent problem-solving skills
-Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
