Atherton & Associates, LLP is seeking a, experienced, self-motivated, client-focused individual to join our team as Assurance Supervisor to help us continue to provide the excellent client service that we are known for.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Lead multiple assurance engagements by overseeing the planning, organizing, and execution of engagements.
- Builds and maintains client relationships through direct contact at appropriate levels of the organization on assigned engagements, consistently provides timely response to client and internal requests.
- Takes responsibility for service quality, thoroughness, and accuracy; proactively works with client to gather data and follow-up on open items.
- Delegates work effectively to ensure deadlines are met.
- Assesses - and interprets the implications for the client; understands client’s tolerance for risk.
- Stays current on regulatory and industry issues and shares applicable information with others.
- Seeks business development opportunities through new or existing contacts.
- Effectively supervises, trains, mentors, and develops associates and senior associates.
- Provide training to co-workers and associates as needed on technical areas of expertise.
- Proactively communicates work/project status with engagement team and client in a direct and respectful manner.
- Create and maintain continuing professional education schedule for department staff.
- Attends recruiting events to build the practice.
- Flexibility to work weekends and extended hours during peak busy seasons.

Requirements:- Bachelor’s degree, preferred concentration in Business Administration or Accounting, from an accredited college or university. Concentration in finance, economics and mathematics will also be considered.
- CPA license in the State of California, helpful but not required.
- A minimum of 4 years relevant experience.
- Effective supervisory and delegation experience with staff in planning, performing, and completing audit engagements.
- Ability to lead, coach and motivate staff.
- Superior client service with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
- Strong technology skills and proficiency with all aspects of Microsoft Office. Experience with ProSystem fx Engagement and Caseware are a plus.
- Ability to build relationships across lines of business to ensure client service excellence.
- Ability to lead, prioritize, thrive, and adapt in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Excellent project management, analytical, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines with accuracy.
