About the Legal Intern position
We are seeking a Legal Intern who will be provided with a great deal of hands-on experience and insight into the world of sports through the agency lens. It is a great opportunity for a passionate, creative, and focused graduate or exceptional undergraduate student who is interested in a career in sports or entertainment management.
*This internship session will last for approximately 3 months – beginning May 22, 2025 an ending August 22, 2025
*This position is based out of the Gainesville, FL office *
Intern Responsibilities and Projects include:
- Drafting, sending, and filing requests for public documents from colleges and universities
- Exposure to employment, marketing, and IP contract language as well as data input
- Research and generate new information for agents in coaching or personnel staff recruitment
- Update information on NFL and NCAA performance and hiring trends
- Summarizing various media reports (via podcast summaries, articles, etc.)
- General office duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Extremely organized and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Detail oriented
- Effective communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Critical thinker and problem solver
- Strong ability to work as part of a team, as some coworkers will be in satellite offices
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and other programs (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook Canva, etc.)
- Must have a car as some tasks will require intern to travel
- Rising 2L or 3L, pursuing a Juris Doctorate or similar degree
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of the college football landscape, conference realignment, etc.
- Degrees in Finance, Economics, Business, Sports Management, or similar fields
**This person would be expected to be available “after hours” as our clients make requests even after the business day and on weekends.
