Position Overview :
We are seeking a licensed Psychiatrist to join our team as a Supervising Physician, responsible for overseeing and supporting Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners (PMHNP) in Alabama, Louisiana, South Carolina, and Texas . This role is critical in ensuring the highest standards of care through supervisory oversight, compliance with state regulations, and effective collaboration with mid-level clinicians.
Key Responsibilities :
- Supervision and Consultation : Provide clinical oversight, guidance, and consultation to PMHNPs in accordance with state-specific regulations and best practices.
- Compliance : Ensure adherence to state laws regarding physician supervision requirements, including frequency of chart reviews, consultative sessions, and other supervisory duties as mandated.
- Quality Assurance : Participate in quality assurance initiatives, reviewing patient charts, treatment plans, and other documentation as needed to maintain high standards of care.
- Collaboration : Work closely with PMHNPs to address clinical questions, review complex cases, and provide insights to enhance patient care and outcomes.
- Availability : Be available for regular check-ins, virtual consultations, and prompt responses to clinical questions as necessary to support the PMHNP team.
