We are seeking to hire a Director, EH&S to be responsible for the overall environmental health and safety function across the ATI Specialty Materials business unit. This position is based in Monroe, NC.
As Director, EH&S this position will be responsible for the overall direction and scope of the EHS function within the Specialty Materials business unit. This will include management of EHS Managers at all Specialty Materials production sites, strong leadership of continuous improvement, strategic leadership of both safety and environmental strategy and compliance, and leadership at an enterprise-level for all functions within the EHS function.
A successful Director, EHS will quickly grasp ATI’s processes and business culture, assess where the organization is from a safety and environmental standpoint, successfully communicate both up and down the organization, and possess a strong continuous improvement mindset.
Other Responsibilities:
- Overall organizational environmental and safety compliance
- Provide strategic direction for the planning and development of goals.
- Provide oversight and direct improvements to the EHS Management System.
- Provide oversight for applicable air, water, and waste permitting and interface with ATI Legal as necessary.
- Evaluate capital projects for potential environmental and safety impacts.
- Utilize Continuous Improvement tools in all aspects of EHS
- Provide oversight for the Workers' Compensation Process.
- Project Management and roll out of large programs.
- Successfully balance multiple projects in a fast-paced, competitive environment.
- Accomplish results within a fast-paced, working manager, multi-tasking environment
- Analyze and resolve difficult problems effectively and timely through the implementation of long-term solutions.
- Effectively negotiate and resolve conflict.
- Influence and motivate individuals across diverse teams to meet objectives.
