ATI is seeking to hire Materials Science, Metallurgical Engineering, and Chemical Engineering majors for our Process and Product Rotational Engineering Program. Based in our Western Pennsylvania facilities, candidates would be involved in a three-year rotational program among the various facilities, gaining valuable exposure to the various operations and functional areas within the ATI Specialty Rolled Products Business Unit.
This program offers opportunities for advancement in Product & Process Engineering.
Essential Functions
- Responsible for process development and improvement
- Resolving quality-related issues and troubleshooting process related problems
- Responsible for quality cost control
- Off standard product dispositions and resolving quality-related issues
- Interaction with production workers on a daily basis on quality related issues
- Yield and product quality improvement projects
- Ensure product meets customer specifications
- Support customer new product qualifications
- Interface with customers to resolve complaints and rejections
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Materials Science, Metallurgical Engineering, or Chemical Engineering related fields
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous internship experience working in a manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with computer-based process models and optimization techniques
- Proficiency with ad-hoc database queries using Microsoft Access or SQL
