Job Summary
Lead and coordinate the planning, scheduling, and execution of material flow through the operations of a specific Operational footprint. Provide plans that meet delivery performance objectives and minimize excess inventory. Review capacities for equipment constraint, define lead times and establish loading guidelines for Supervisors and Order Planners. Provide support to production scheduling on all material flow issues in order to meet production schedules and Inside Sales inquiry to order timelines to meet customer requirements. Work with Product Met to identify and resolve issues related to process routings and customer specifications. Manage inventory levels that will enable competitive lead times, while achieving operational turn goals.
Essential Functions
- Manage the application / planning, order loading, capacity levels, and lead times process for Titanium Pack Rolled Sheet.
- Manage the scheduling and direct movement of materials. Work with planning for related equipment capability.
- Work directly with the Customer Account Sales team and Order Entry personnel to improve order entry flow, communicate lead times and resolve order entry issues.
- Perform data analysis to optimize schedules and to increase material throughput.
- Meet weekly On-Time delivery performance. Plan and make recommendations to improve On-Time delivery performance.
- Maintain backlog issues and discuss equipment loading and discrepancies with Operations. Arrange and discuss equipment set-ups.
- Close coordination with Supply Chain will be required to maintain customer expectations on order acknowledgement and On Time Delivery performance to planned delivery dates.
- Review production reports after each shift and discuss any discrepancies with operations.
- Work closely with Operations Leaders and other operating personnel to ensure adherence to schedules.
- Assist in developing a set of meaningful reports that track weekly performance to plan / forecast in each of the essential areas.
- Responsible for the loading of equipment across the supply chain and coordination of production and scheduling.
