Job Description:
Major Construction Company seeking Regional Safety Manager to lead the safety function in Buffalo, NY and the surrounding region.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
· As a Regional Safety Manager, you will promote a positive and proactive safety culture through behaviors and actions.
· Review and update written programs, audits, and accident investigations.
· Track incident metrics and trends and apply findings.
· Manage worker's compensation incidents in a confidential manner that meets the needs of the employee and the company.
· Communicate and collaborate with business partners, regulatory agencies, and employees regarding safety requirements and opportunities.
· Ensure compliance with all regulatory bodies and standards.
· Communicate issues, trends, regulatory updates, and training materials to employees, leadership, and direct reports.
· Responsible for the development and performance management of direct reports.
Job Requirements:
· 7 years of safety experience
· 3 years of direct supervisory experience.
· A bachelor's degree in safety or a related field, or equivalent experience.
· Broad and detailed regulatory, training, inspection, and auditing knowledge.
· Construction or manufacturing industry experience is required.
· Knowledge of compliance relating to DOT, MSHA, and other federal regulations.
· Willingness to work overtime as needed during periods of shutdown.
