Job Summary:
The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for inspecting and testing materials, components, and products to ensure they meet established quality standards and specifications. This role involves conducting regular inspections on the production line, documenting findings, and collaborating with the production and quality teams to address any quality issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspection and Testing: Perform routine inspections and tests on incoming materials, in-process products, and finished goods using established procedures and equipment.
- Monitor Production: Conduct regular walk throughs on the production floor monitoring material running production and stopping machines running questionable product.
- Documentation: Accurately document inspection results, including measurements, observations, and any defects found. Maintain detailed records of inspection processes and outcomes.
- Compliance: Ensure products comply with industry standards, company specifications, and regulatory requirements.
- Reporting: Report any deviations, defects, or non-conformities to the QA Supervisor or Quality Manager. Provide detailed feedback to production teams to address and rectify quality issues.
- Equipment Maintenance: Calibrate and maintain inspection tools and equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Continuous Improvement: Participate in quality improvement initiatives and suggest improvements to inspection methods and processes.
- Collaboration: Work closely with QA Engineers, production teams, and other stakeholders to support overall quality objectives and ensure a smooth workflow.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree in a technical field is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in quality control or inspection in a manufacturing environment, or 2 years of relevant production experience at Atkins & Pearce.

- Proficiency in using inspection tools and measurement equipment (e.g., calipers, pic counters, gauges).
- Basic understanding of quality control principles and standards.
