We are seeking a Process/Chemical Engineer – Hybrid/Remote. This position offers the option of hybrid or remote, and is based out of our Richland, WA office.

Expected compensation range is between $77,000 to $159,000 annually depending on skills, experience, and geographical location.

We are seeking a Process/Chemical Engineer – Hybrid/Remote. This position offers the option of hybrid or remote, and is based out of our Richland, WA office.

How will you contribute to the team?
- Performs a variety of engineering calculations using traditional engineering methods to document compliance with project and code requirements, which may include mass and energy balances, pressure profiles, pipe, pump and vessel sizing.
- Experience in using software tools to model and optimize chemical and engineering processes.
- Assists in the preparation and approval of design documents, plant modifications and software QA documentation.
- Interfaces with technology and engineering staff and supporting sub-contractors to ensure work is being completed in a safe and efficient manner, ensuring that safety is an integral element embodied in equipment design and specification.
- Works in multi-discipline teams on project-based work and ensures integration of design across multiple disciplines.
- Performs checking to ensure accuracy of process simulation models and other design media in accordance with company policies and procedures and client expectations.
- Works to assigned schedules ensuring the accuracy, completeness and timeliness of work and initiates corrective measures to overcome delays.
- Recommends new equipment, concepts and techniques to improve performance, simplify design, reduce costs, correct design flaws or to comply with changes in client requirements, codes or regulations.
- Performs independent research, reviews, studies and analyses in support of plant changes and design modifications.
- Relies on limited experience and judgment.
- Works under limited supervision.
- Some creativity and latitude is expected.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Requires Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering.
- Minimum of 10 years' experience.
- Proficiency in process modeling software such as ASPEN/gPROMs/Aveva/CHEMCAD or similar.
- Oil & Gas Industry experience a plus.
- Professional Engineering License preferred.
- Intermediate knowledge of Process Equipment design software and Microsoft Office.
- Intermediate knowledge of functional discipline and its practical application.
- Proficiency in developing steady state and/or dynamic process simulation models.
- Fully conversant with Process Flow Diagrams, Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) and Process Data Sheets.
- Strong communication skills.
- Must be a U.S citizen in order to be considered.
