Position Summary : The Manager Enhanced Building Maintenance (EBM) leads a frontline team of AATC professionals that provide support to the overall maintenance program of Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. This support function centers around cosmetic and higher-level janitorial activities that include painting, flooring repair, working at heights, detail janitorial tasks, flooring restoration, equipment repair and general maintenance activities.
The AATC and airport operations run in a fast-paced 24-hour a day environment. The Manager position develops and implements strategies and procedures to maximize performance among the Enhanced Building Maintenance Team. This team is a critical component to the overall condition of the airport and the impact that has on customer experience.
The Manager will be responsible for maintaining financial discipline as it applies to the overall departmental budget. The Manager will also be responsible for overseeing staffing, training, scheduling, and accountability at all levels of the team. The Manager position will represent AATC as a point of contact for all various agencies within the airport community – including The Department of Aviation, Airport Regulatory Agencies, Airlines, as well as provide relevant communications to the AATC team.
Responsibilities :
- Lead and manage the Enhanced Building Maintenance Team through strong communication, empowerment, and coaching techniques. Includes training, motivation, performance appraisals, and adherence to company policy.
- Ensure adequate coverage and leadership through the 3rd shift operation, yet also adjust schedules accordingly to cover leadership obligations.
- Improving operational efficiencies and performance through analytics, processes, accountability, and communication with key stakeholders to drive results.
- Participate in identification, planning, and implementation of initiatives to improve and maintain the condition of the facility.
- Represent AATC as required, including attendance at assigned meetings, airport functions, and industry events.
- Assist with budget planning and manage the Enhanced Maintenance Team overall budget.
- Must always ensure proper coverage for the Enhanced Maintenance Team.
