Fitness Center Attendant – Part Time
Summary:
The Fitness Center Attendant provides a welcoming environment to ensure member and guest satisfaction. All Fitness Center Team Members work independently together to complete assigned daily responsibilities to ensure an unparalleled experience for our Club members.
Set Schedule: All Fitness Center team members are on consistent schedule to allow for better work life balance. Hours for this position are as follows and includes working on holidays if necessary:
Tuesday & Thursday 1:00 pm to 9:15 pm
Primary Responsibilities:
- Work as directed to support the mission and values of Atlanta Athletic Club
- Provide Fitness Center and Club information to members
- Fulfill daily obligations and checklists including but not limited to: Restocking towels, cleaning and various janitorial duties
- Perform walk through of all areas to ensure cleanliness and that equipment is operating properly
- Report any failing mechanicals or broken equipment to the immediate supervisor/manager and front desk
- Team members are cross-trained in all areas throughout the Fitness Center to enable one to fill in where necessary
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Must be organized and have good verbal and written communication skills
- Able to consistently work the same schedule each week
- Provide excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a pleasant personality
- Physical requirements for this position are hearing, speaking, seeing, carrying, bending, walking, kneeling, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting up to 30 pounds, and being able to stand for 4 to 8 hours, or the ability to accomplish the physical requirements with or without reasonable accommodations
- Must be able to communicate information as needed to external departments and team members
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- CPR and First Aid Certification – training provided if necessary
