ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Warehouse and Inventory Management:
- Collaborate with management to organize merchandise within the warehouse efficiently.
- Rotate back stock in the warehouse and stockroom for easy access and replenishment.
- Coordinate and oversee the placement of shipments from truck deliveries, ensuring they are stored correctly.
- Ensure all merchandise is properly tagged, secured, and coded in accordance with company guidelines.
- Maintain all organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards in the warehouse and stockroom to promote an efficient work environment.
- Communication and Reporting:
- Communicate accurately and effectively with Managers and Leads regarding inventory and warehouse operations.
- Report any missing or damaged items in shipments to vendors and management promptly.
- Ensure Purchase Orders are completed efficiently and accurately within the specified timeframes.
- Flow of Goods:
- Work closely with Managers and Leads to ensure the efficient flow of goods to both the Atlanta and Gainesville locations from the warehouse.
- POS System Management:
- Accurately enter merchandise information into the POS system to maintain precise inventory records.
- Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure compliance with recycling programs and, where applicable, hazardous waste management.
- Adhere to all labor laws, policies, and procedures to ensure a safe and lawful workplace.
- Support and participate in inventory shrink reduction goals and programs.
- Maintain a risk-free environment by adhering to all safety guidelines and protocols.
- Customer Service:
- Perform duties as a Gift Shop Sales Associate when needed, providing excellent customer service and assisting with sales.
- Respond appropriately to unexpected situations or changes in deliveries or merchandising plans.
- Other Duties:
- Perform other duties as assigned by management to support the overall operations of the gift shop.
Requirements
REQUIREMENTS:
- Schedule and Flexibility:
- Part-time, 15-25 hours per week
- Able to work a flexible schedule to support business needs, including nights and weekends.
- Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to respond appropriately to unexpected situations or changes in deliveries or merchandising plans.
- Team player who works effectively with peers and supervisors to accomplish tasks.
- Capable of regularly lifting 20 lbs-50 lbs with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Strong and precise communication skills.
- Experience and Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Two years of customer service or retail experience preferred.
- Licenses:
- Must have a valid driver's license.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- The role involves working in a warehouse setting, with occasional duties in the gift shop environment.
- May involve travel between the Atlanta and Gainesville locations.
