We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee our school's daily operations and ensure efficiency and productivity. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with excellent leadership skills.
Duties
- Oversee and Manages all vendor requests and coordination with the guidance of the Head of Schools.
- Ensure that the interior and exterior of the school building reflect the school's culture, brand, and mission
- Manage the school's maintenance needs including vendor relationships
- Partner with the Deans of Students to implement and manage arrival and dismissal procedures that ensure our students enter and leave campus in a safe, orderly fashion
- Partner with vendors to ensure bus routes properly serve the school's student population; report chronic service issues to the Executive Director
- Create and manage the appropriate relationships with the necessary vendors that support transportation systems
- Support with managing the Food Services Manager
- Manages the procurement process from start to finish. This includes budget management, forecasting, and procurement reconciliation.
- Implement purchasing process as outlined by the Director of Business Operation to ensure that the school has all needed resources by placing orders with vendors, tracking delivery and distribution
- Maintain accurate inventory records of school assets; create systems and policies to ensure the upkeep and maintenance of school assets
- School Safety
- Manage all security related systems, including security personnel, and vendors that provide security services
- Schedule and conduct required emergency drills
- Support the school clinic by coordinating with the school nurse to ensure that students receive the appropriate care
- Liaise with the contracted Systems Administrator to ensure that the needs of the schools are being met; facilitate the execution of the Systems Administrator's communications and projects at the school level
- Manage and ensure the upkeep of all technology (purchased and leased), as well as the vendor who provide and support the technology needs of the schools
Skills
- Proven experience in Charter School operations management (This is nonnegotiable you must have school operations experience)
- Strong leadership abilities with a focus on team building and employee development
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools
- Knowledge of industry best practices and trends
Preferred Skills:
-Bachelor's Degree or Higher
- 3-5 years of experience
