Description
Remedy is a veterinary clinic in the Southeast that’s focused on providing affordable care to our communities. It’s a partner organization of the Atlanta Humane Society and this role will focus mostly on Remedy’s fundraising and communications while assisting with Atlanta Humane projects as needed. This dynamic role supports outreach, fundraising, and marketing initiatives designed to grow brand awareness, expand donor engagement, and increase financial support for both organizations. The ideal candidate is a strong relationship builder, a creative storyteller, and a strategic communicator who can help elevate the impact of two lifesaving teams.
Fundraising
- Execute fundraising strategies to support Remedy’s mission and financial goals, including donor cultivation and online giving campaigns.
- Identify and engage with new donor segments for Remedy, crafting tailored communication strategies to attract a diverse range of supporters.
- Manage donor database for Remedy, ensuring accurate records, acknowledgments, and timely follow-ups to strengthen donor relationships.
- Work with Atlanta Humane staff to prepare grant applications and reports, partnering with the finance and programs teams to communicate Remedy’s impact and program goals effectively.
- General Atlanta Humane and Remedy donor administrative work including pulling budget reports, putting giving kits together, and correcting undeliverable mail.
Marketing and Communications
- Work alongside an agency to manage Remedy’s marketing advertising campaigns across digital channels to increase brand visibility and attract new clients.
- Execute a social media strategy for Remedy to build an engaged online community, crafting compelling stories and educational content about pet care, community impact, and organizational goals.
- Collect and follow impactful stories that happen at Remedy.
- Develop marketing materials for Remedy, including newsletters, blogs, press releases, and impact stories (mostly in Canva)
- Maintain and update Remedy’s website (Squarespace) to ensure accurate information, engaging content, and intuitive user experience for both clients and supporters.
- General Atlanta Humane and Remedy marketing administrative work including working with printers, direct mail copyediting, creating internal nametags, and managing supply inventory.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Nonprofit Management, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
- 2 years of experience in fundraising, marketing, or nonprofit communications, preferably within animal welfare or community services.
- Strong understanding of fundraising principles, marketing strategies, and digital engagement techniques.
- Proficiency in donor management systems and digital marketing tools
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling stories that resonate with diverse audiences.
- Proven track record in meeting fundraising targets and managing successful marketing campaigns.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
Salary : $19 - $22
