The Community Living Assistant is a critical member of our ministry by creating a safe, stable, and healthy community while encouraging camaraderie and a sense of belonging among the clients.
We are looking to fill the following shifts:
Full-Time 2nd shift (3:30pm - 12am)
Part-Time 2nd shift (3:30pm - 12am)
Essential Duties And Responsibilities:
- Monitors client activity to ensure safety, security, and compliance with house rules by frequently walking the facility, stationed in the dining hall, monitoring cameras, and engaging in client activities
- Conducts orientations on community living guidelines, facility layout, and basic living skills classes
- Documents events that occur during shifts, along with thorough incident reports, using Salesforce and Microsoft Office by the end of each shift
- Enhances relationships by demonstrating effective problem-solving skills
- Assists clients within guidelines when addressing issues and conflict resolution, utilizing de-escalation techniques.
- Administers medication and logs consumption per the program's medication policy.
- Escalates concerns to the Community Living Leader when clients present heightened behavioral challenges and/or have special needs.
- Checks for contraband in and around the facility through general observation and room or package/purse searches, per the search, contraband, and weapons protocols.
- Acts as a liaison to Client Support Services regarding client community living concerns, needs, and emergencies by providing notes in Salesforce and via email communication.

Position Requirements:
- Prior experience in homeless services, crisis intervention, addiction recovery, mental health support, or ministry work is a plus.
- Experience in a 24/7 residential program, shelter environment, or community outreach is preferred.
- Knowledge of trauma-informed care, de-escalation techniques, and crisis response is highly beneficial.
- Efficient with Microsoft Office applications
Physical Requirements:
- Position requires standing for long periods of time and to move and walk to various locations, climb stairs, stoop, kneel, reach, pull, push, bend and twist.
- Must have the ability to constantly operate a computer and other office equipment, such as a copy machine, calculator and computer printer
- Must be able to communicate accurate information
- Must be able to occasionally lift and/or carry up to 20lbs
- Must have peripheral vision and depth perception
