With more than 38,000 members, Atlanta Track Club is the second-largest running organization in the United States. In addition to the AJC Peachtree Road Race, the largest 10K running event in the world, Atlanta Track Club directs more than 50 events each year, including the Publix Atlanta Marathon, PNC Atlanta 10 Miler, Invesco QQQ Thanksgiving Day Half Marathon and the AJC Polar Opposite Peachtree Road Race. Reporting to the President of the Foundation, the Development Manager is a self-starter with capital fundraising, donor cultivation, stewardship, community partnership, and program oversight experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage capital campaign calendar, track deadlines and key milestones
- Oversee capital campaign database, ensure accurate donor information and track progress on solicitations
- Coordinate campaign events and activities, including logistics, marketing, and volunteer engagement
- Monitor campaign performance against goals and make adjustments as needed
- Prepare regular campaign reports for campaign committee and leadership, highlighting progress, challenges, and key insights
- Develop and disseminate campaign communications, including donor updates, newsletters, and appeals
- Maintain strong relationships with donors, providing timely acknowledgments and updates on the impact of their contributions
- Develop and execute annual fundraising initiatives, including staff and board giving
- Oversight of charitable entry requests, inquiries, emails, and correspondence
- Reconcile contribution deposits and designations with the finance office on a monthly basis
- Enter prospect and donor info into CRM including contact updates, as well as campaign, solicitor, event, wealth rating, and appeal tracking
- Produce general office mailings (i.e., mailing labels, solicitation letters, acknowledgment letters, email campaigns, invitations, pledge reminders, etc.) and customize as appropriate
- Attend after-hour special events for community and fundraising events
