JOB SUMMARY
The Vice President of Operations is responsible for developing and implementing operational strategies, managing resources, and optimizing business processes to achieve organizational efficiency and profitability. This leadership role ensures alignment between operational practices and the company’s mission, vision, and strategic goals.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Strategic Planning and Execution:
- Develop and implement operational strategies, policies, and procedures to achieve business objectives.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to align operations with organizational goals.
Operations Management:
- Oversee daily operations, including production, logistics, supply chain, and service delivery.
- Ensure operational efficiency by optimizing resources, systems, and workflows.
- Monitor performance metrics and implement improvements where necessary.
Team Leadership:
- Manage and mentor department heads and operational teams to foster a culture of accountability and excellence.
- Recruit, develop, and retain top talent within the operations division.
Financial Oversight:
- Develop and manage budgets, ensuring cost efficiency and financial performance.
- Analyze financial reports and operational data to identify areas for improvement.
Risk Management and Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
- Identify and mitigate operational risks to safeguard the company’s assets and reputation.
Innovation and Continuous Improvement:
- Drive initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and improve customer satisfaction.
- Research and implement emerging technologies and trends to maintain a competitive edge.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with other executives (e.g., VP of Sales, VP of Marketing, CFO) to ensure seamless coordination across departments.
- Communicate operational updates and progress to stakeholders and board members.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company guidelines, policies and procedures, and applicable laws. Supervisory responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Operations Management, or related field (master’s degree preferred).
- 10 years of experience in operations management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of operational best practices, financial acumen, and strategic planning.
- Proven track record of managing complex projects and leading high-performing teams.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership abilities.
