We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Customer Service Representative and dispatcher to join our dynamic team. Your primary responsibilities will involve assisting with inquiries related to shipping, logistics, and supply chain management, ensuring that our customers receive timely and accurate information.
Duties
- Respond to customer inquiries via phone and email in a professional manner, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette.
- Assist customers with shipping and receiving processes, providing guidance on logistics and transportation management systems.
- Utilize GIS and SyteLine software to track shipments and manage customer accounts effectively.
- Coordinate with internal teams to resolve issues related to freight and fleet management.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and transactions in the system.
- Provide support in managing supply chain operations, ensuring efficient service delivery.
- Collaborate with logistics teams to optimize delivery schedules and improve overall customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- Managing truck drivers’ schedules and routes
- Scheduling freight to be picked up and delivered
- Providing shipping details to customers
- Reviewing logs of truck drivers
- Documenting all calls, deliveries, routes and times for pickups and deliveries
- Completing paperwork related to shipments, such as invoices
- Handling customer complaints and inquiries
- Negotiating rates and delivery time lines
- Previous experience in customer service or a related field is preferred.
- Familiarity with shipping receiving processes and logistics principles is highly desirable.
- Proficient in using transportation management systems and GPS technology.
- Strong communication skills with an emphasis on phone etiquette.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to maintain accurate records.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and customer support.
