SUMMARY:
This role is responsible for overseeing software development and analysis, including the design, development, testing, installation, and maintenance of computer-based applications. The position supervises project leaders, technicians, software specialists, programmers, and analysts while ensuring alignment with business objectives. Additionally, this role involves conducting feasibility studies and contributing to the selection of future workflow, hardware, and software solutions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead and manage a team of IT professionals to develop, implement, and support computer systems based on customer requirements.
- Oversee employee development, training, performance management, and salary administration to ensure equitable treatment across all employees.
- Foster a positive team environment and maintain department morale.
- Collaborate with business and executive stakeholders to identify, propose, develop, and implement technology solutions that support business objectives.
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with end-users, team members, and management regarding project statuses.
- Ensure proper tracking, monitoring, and documentation of all projects.
- Develop and execute project plans in alignment with departmental goals and timelines.
- Evaluate existing and proposed systems for efficiency and compliance with company service level agreements.
- Establish standards and procedures to enhance the efficiency of software and system operations.
- Perform system maintenance and updates as required by business needs.
- Design, code, troubleshoot, and resolve complex application and system issues.
- Lead research and development initiatives to identify and prototype emerging technologies for future system improvements.
- Ensure high availability of systems and applications for both internal and external users.
- Develop and implement repeatable processes and best practices to support successful project execution.
- Apply rigorous testing practices to ensure software quality, reusing test cases to enhance efficiency.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum of five years of experience in computer programming, systems analysis, or infrastructure management.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Strong ability to align application development and system implementation with overall company objectives.
- Proficiency in analyzing business needs, designing solutions, and documenting technical requirements.
- Capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines under pressure.
