What are the responsibilities and job description for the Experienced Low Voltage Technician position at Atlantic Communications LLC?
Low Voltage Technician Responsibilities:
- Proper installation of CAT6, audio, and fiber optic cable in accordance with industry standards.
- Knowledge of IP camera systems AND analog cameras.
- Neatly and professionally dress cabling to termination points.
- Installation, Grounding and termination of racks/cabinets, patch panels, and wire management.
- Termination, Trim-out, and Label all workstation locations.
- Ability to use Fluke Certifiers to test and troubleshoot cabling.
- Work from ladders, scissor lifts, and boom lifts.
- Installation of audio equipment to include source players, amplifiers, and speakers.
- Installation of IP Cameras, wireless access points, and other IP devices.
- Ability to complete tasks assigned in a proficient manner.
- Capable of using basic hand tools and power tools.
- Ability to both work independently and manage a small team.
- Ability to read shop drawings, wiring diagrams, and blueprints.
- Ability to work in due regard to site safety, rules, and regulations.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Demonstrate ability to upkeep and care for company tools and assets.
- Maintain a professional appearance with good grooming practices and adhering to company uniform standards.
- Act in a professional and courteous manner at all times.
- Willingness to travel for projects and flexibility to ensure we meet customer deadlines.
Low Voltage Technician Qualifications:
· Cable Technician experience: 2 years in commercial settings (Required)
· IP Camera and CCTV Technician Troubleshooting and programming: 2 years (Required)
· Driver's License (Required)
· US work authorization (Required)
· IP and Analog camera experience (Required)
· Audio installation and commissioning
· BICSI certifications and manufacturer certifications are a plus
· Ability to travel for projects of short durations (Up to a couple weeks). Company will pay for hotel, provide per diem, and use of company vehicle.
