Job Title: Business Development Advisor
What you will bring:
The Business Development Advisor is responsible for representing the full array of ACBB’s capabilities to the target marketplace. The Business Development Advisor leads their internal team and leverages all available resources in developing new clients, represents ACBB in the FI ecosystem, and serves as a brand ambassador. This role focuses on engaging with executives at financial institutions in the Southeast region of the United States and developing deep relationships that create sales opportunities for ACBB. The Business Development Advisor is also responsible for fostering connections with state banking associations and other influential entities in the banking sector.
Essential Duties:
- Review portfolios to highlight product sales opportunities
- Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve sales targets and revenue goals for the region
- Cultivate new sales opportunities by solving prospects’ challenges and displacing incumbent providers
- Manage sales pipeline in SalesForce
- Utilize analysis tools to validate ACBB value proposition
- Create proposals and presentations to communicate ACBB value
- Negotiate terms of sales agreements
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions, sales activities, and pipeline information in the company's CRM system.
- Prepare and present regular reports on business development activities, market trends, and competitive intelligence to management.
- Partner closely with onboarding, client service, and billing teams to ensure a positive client transition experience with appropriate knowledge transfer
- Actively engage with state banking associations and other centers of influence in the banking space.
Requirements
Basic Qualifications/Skills:
- Education/Training: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Certifications such as CTP, CTM, or AAP are desired.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years in business development, sales, or relationship management, preferably within the banking or financial services industry. Proven track record in managing client portfolios and meeting/exceeding sales targets; Established network within the Southeast banking community including Virginia, Maryland and West Virginia.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM tools like Salesforce.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication, including presentation and persuasive skills tailored to diverse audiences.
- Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional ability to build trust with internal and external stakeholders.
- Additional Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Physical Demands / Working Environment:
- Travel Requirements: This role requires regular travel within the Southeast region of the U.S. to meet with clients and attend industry events. A valid driver’s license is required, and the employee must be comfortable driving for extended periods and navigating to various client locations.
- Office and Remote Work Environment: The position includes both in-office and remote work components, with in-office work at our headquarters in Camp Hill, PA.
- Sedentary and Active Requirements: When not traveling, the role is primarily sedentary, involving extensive use of a computer and phone. However, it requires mobility for client meetings and attendance at events, with periods of standing, walking, and possibly carrying promotional materials or presentation equipment.
- Visual and Auditory Requirements: Ability to operate a computer, phone, and other office equipment effectively. Must be able to participate in in-person and virtual meetings, utilizing strong visual and auditory focus.
