Job Overview – Accounting Associate (Insurance):

Take on a key position with our client’s team as an Accounting Associate in Philadelphia, PA. In this hybrid role, you will support senior accounting staff, ensure accurate financial reporting, and maintain compliance with GAAP standards. Your contributions to process improvements and financial analysis will be critical to our client’s ongoing success and operational excellence.

Compensation: $67,000 - $72,000/year bonus

Location: Philadelphia, PA

Schedule: Monday to Friday (Hybrid)

Responsibilities as the Accounting Associate:

• Close Processes: Complete month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• GAAP Compliance: Maintain accurate financial records in compliance with GAAP and company standards.
• Financial Reporting: Produce detailed financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Variance Analysis: Perform variance analyses and recommend corrective actions to maintain financial health.
• Accounts Payable and Receivable: Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes to ensure accurate cash flow and timely payments.
• Process Enhancement: Implement improvements to streamline financial reporting and enhance accuracy.

Qualifications for the Accounting Associate:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
• Experience: 2 years in general accounting and General Ledger management.
• Technical Proficiency: Solid understanding of GAAP principles, proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel), and familiarity with SAP is a plus.
• Skills: Strong communication, organizational, and customer service abilities with attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines.
• Attributes: Discretion with confidential information, analytical mindset, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
