Job Overview – Accounts Receivable Specialist (Hybrid):
Join our manufacturing client as an Accounts Receivable Specialist in South Jersey, supporting financial operations with a focus on invoicing, collections, deductions management, and cash applications. This hybrid role requires expertise in EDI systems, allowing for seamless electronic transactions with clients and partners. The ideal candidate will bring strong problem-solving skills and the ability to streamline accounts receivable processes for efficiency.
Compensation: $55,000 – $65,000/year bonus
Location: South Jersey
Schedule: Monday to Friday (Hybrid)
Responsibilities as the Accounts Receivable Specialist:
- Invoicing & Collections: Ensure accurate processing of invoices, payments, and collections while maintaining positive client relationships.
- EDI Transactions & Data Management: Monitor electronic invoicing and data exchange, troubleshooting discrepancies and optimizing EDI processes.
- Client & Partner Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams and external partners to improve transaction workflows and resolve billing inquiries.
- Reporting & Analysis: Generate accounts receivable reports, track KPIs, and provide insights on collection efforts.
- Process Improvement & Compliance: Train staff on financial systems, ensure adherence to accounting policies, and support operational efficiency.
Qualifications for the Accounts Receivable Specialist:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred.
- Experience: 3 years in accounts receivable, with experience in EDI systems and processes (industry experience in food & beverage, manufacturing, or distribution is preferred).
- Technical Proficiency: Skilled in ERP systems, EDI platforms, and Microsoft Excel, with the ability to analyze and manage financial data effectively.
- Skills & Attributes: Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
