Job Overview - P&L Accountant :
Step into a key role as a P&L Accountant in New York with our trusted client, overseeing accounting entries, P&L calculations, and position reporting for commodities. In this full-time position, you'll collaborate with Traders, Logistics, and cross-functional teams to ensure financial accuracy and drive business growth.
Compensation : $70,000 - $90,000 / year bonus
Location : New York, NY
Schedule : Monday to Friday (On-Site)
Responsibilities as the P&L Accountant :
- Monthly Accounting : Oversee all aspects of monthly accounting for assigned products, ensuring accuracy in collaboration with front and back office teams.
- Financial Reporting : Produce accurate and timely monthly and annual reports for assigned commodities.
- P&L Analysis : Analyze P&L movements, providing clear documentation on how market changes and trading strategies impact results.
- Control Processes : Execute the Product Control function in compliance with established control processes.
- Development : Work with business units to enhance the Product Control frameworks and procedures.
- System Projects : Ensure all reporting requirements are accurately captured and prioritized in system development projects.
