Compensation: $125,000 - $140,000/year bonus equity
Location: Panama City, FL
Schedule: (Hybrid- 1 Day in office)
Responsibilities as the Corporate Controller:
- Financial Oversight: Manage corporate accounting functions, including general ledger, month-end/year-end closing, and financial reporting.
- Team Leadership: Mentor and develop accounting professionals, fostering a culture of high performance.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Prepare budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses to inform strategic decision-making.
- Internal Controls & Compliance: Implement robust internal controls to ensure accurate reporting and regulatory compliance.
- Process Improvement: Identify automation opportunities to enhance accounting operations and efficiency.
- Audit Coordination: Lead internal and external audits, maintaining compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
Qualifications for the Corporate Controller:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required (CPA certification preferred).
- Experience: Minimum of 8 years of corporate accounting experience, including leadership roles managing teams, preferably within a corporate or public accounting environment.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong proficiency with accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite) and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
- Skills & Attributes: Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills, with a results-driven, detail-oriented approach and the ability to lead teams in a dynamic, hybrid environment.
- Industry Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of corporate accounting practices, financial reporting standards, and compliance requirements.
