Job Overview – Financial Controller (Real Estate):

Step into a leadership role with our client as a Financial Controller in Philadelphia, PA. In this in-office position, you will oversee all day-to-day accounting operations, ensure accurate financial reporting, and collaborate with senior leadership, including presenting to the CEO as needed. Compensation: $140,000 - $150,000/year

Location: Philadelphia, PA

Schedule: Monday to Friday (In-Office)

Responsibilities as the Financial Controller (Real Estate):

• Accounting Oversight: Manage daily operations, including billing, accounts receivable/payable, general ledger, and fixed asset accounting.
• Records Management: Maintain books, capital accounts, registered entities, and formation documents.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare detailed monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for stakeholders.
• Compliance: Ensure all financial processes adhere to accounting principles and regulatory requirements.
• Collaboration: Present financial insights and recommendations to senior leadership, including the CEO.
• Team Leadership: Oversee and mentor the accounting team to ensure operational excellence and professional growth.

Qualifications for the Financial Controller (Real Estate):

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
• Experience: 7-20 years of experience as a Controller, preferably in real estate, with demonstrated management expertise.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in SAGE 300 and strong knowledge of billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed assets, and other accounting functions.
• Industry Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of real estate accounting practices, financial reporting standards, and regulatory compliance.
• Leadership Attributes: Proven ability to manage all aspects of accounting operations and confidently present financial data to senior leadership, including the CEO.
• Skills: Strong attention to detail, organizational abilities, strategic thinking, and excellent communication skills for stakeholder engagement.
