Our top client in the Venture Capital space is looking to bring on both a Fund Analyst & Senior Fund Analyst!
DETAILS:
- Position: Fund Analyst/Senior Fund Analyst
- Location: Boston, Ma
- Schedule: Hybrid (2-3 days in office)
- Compensation: $115K - $150K Base Bonus Fully Paid Benefits
REQUIRED TO APPLY:
- BS degree in Accounting or Finance with a GPA of 3.3 or Higher
- CPA/CFA is a plus
- 3-7 years of experience within Big 4 or fund operations within a PE/VC firm
- Valuations and financial modeling experience
- Must be currently living in MA, RI, or NH
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Oversee daily deal execution for assigned portfolio companies, including reviewing pro formas, investment documents, and processing wire transactions.
- Raise pertinent questions or concerns regarding deal materials to appropriate team members for guidance and resolution.
- Engage in regular team meetings to discuss deal mechanics, trends, and strategic approaches.
- Demonstrate foundational understanding of portfolio construction related to the firms funds and effectively allocate investments.
- Communicate cash requirements for investments clearly to Funds team members, ensuring coordination across the team.
- Maintain data integrity in firms databases by updating and verifying portfolio company information and relevant metrics.
- Prepare seed entity portfolios and conduct quarterly reconciliations of seed investment activities for management fee calculation purposes.
- Provide thoughtful recommendations for valuation adjustments of assigned companies, based on thorough analysis and available data.
- Execute and record valuation changes in Salesforce, ensuring proper valuation of assets at each quarter-end. Seek guidance from the Manager for complex valuation decisions.
- Prepare waterfall (equity allocation) and OPM models from investment documents with minimal supervision.
- Develop performance reports for portfolio companies, offering detailed analyses on both quantitative and qualitative performance, public comp comparisons, IRR at the investment level, and historical performance data.
