Firm: Real Estate Investment Manager
Role: HR Specialist - Payroll & Benefits Focused
Reporting to: VP, HR
Responsibilities:
- Partner with lead payroll and benefits professional and administrator to help facilitate payroll and support ongoing employee benefit administration
- Respond directly to employee and exploratory candidate inquiries
- Maintaining the HRIS and troubleshooting login issues for employees
- Assist with audit requests throughout the year, including but not limited to SOX, Worker’s Comp and 401(k) audits
- Partner with outside counsel to complete annual AAP and EEO-1 reporting requirements
- Partner with benefit brokers to ensure accurate regulatory benefit compliance such as 5500 processing, plan amendments, ACA reporting requirements, annual Non-Discrimination Testing for 401(k) and applicable benefit plans, and general insurance updates or audits
- Assisting with the performance review process (mid-year and annual), ensuring reviews are completed timely
- Support the firm’s recruitment process, which includes scheduling and facilitating candidate interviews, collecting feedback on candidates, utilizing our applicant tracking system, conducting background checks, and onboarding new hires
- Participate in ad-hoc HR projects and operations
Qualifications:
- 2-4 years’ experience within HR
- Prior payroll processing experience is required
- Excellent communication skills, strong work ethic
- Strong organizational skills
Salary : $65,000 - $85,000
