What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Corporate Accountant - Top PE/BDC Financial Services Firm position at Atlantic Group?

You will have the opportunity to help a global financial services firm. With multiple locations, you will be working out of their NYC office (currently hybrid).
The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of corporate/management accounting OR audit (top 10 accounting firm) experience.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation of the financial statements
- Be a key member helping out with the month, quarter, and year-end close process
- Help with journal entries, the GL, reconciliations, etc.
- Bridge the gap between accounting and finance in helping with some budgeting and forecasting
- Be a resource for audit inquiries
- Analyze high risk accounts on the balance sheet and income statement to recommend any better methods
- Have an analytical mindset and help out with process improvement initiatives
- Respond to department requests and special projects as they arise
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance, or business from top tier school
- 2 – 5 years of relevant experience in the accounting, finance, or business
