Job Overview – Tax Advisory Manager (Hybrid):
Step into a pivotal role with our client as a Tax Advisory Manager in Philadelphia, PA. This hybrid position offers an exciting opportunity to lead a dynamic tax advisory practice while mentoring a team of professionals and building meaningful relationships with entrepreneurial organizations. You will oversee tax engagements, devise and implement tax strategies, and contribute to the growth of the business through high-quality advisory services and business development initiatives.
Compensation: $90,000 - $160,000/year bonus
Location: Philadelphia, PA
Schedule: Monday to Friday (Hybrid)
Responsibilities as the Tax Advisory Manager:
- Tax Oversight: Manage and review partnership and individual tax engagements, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
- Advisory Services: Develop and implement tax strategies, advising clients on the implications of business decisions.
- Client Management: Build strong relationships with entrepreneurial clients, delivering tailored tax solutions.
- Technical Expertise: Research complex tax issues, including partnership, individual, and trust tax returns.
- Leadership: Mentor and guide a team of tax professionals, fostering growth and professional development.
- Business Development: Identify and secure target clients, presenting profitable tax advisory solutions.
Qualifications for the Tax Advisory Manager:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required (Master’s in Taxation highly preferred).
- Licensure: CPA or EA certification required.
- Experience: 5-10 years of public tax experience with expertise in high-net-worth individuals, partnerships, S corporations, trust returns, and client advisement.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in CCH Axcess and Engagement software.
- Skills: Strong communication, business development acumen, adaptability, and commitment to exceeding expectations.
- Preferred: Background in a Big 4 or regional firm with expertise in sales tax and multi-state tax compliance.
