AMI is seeking an experienced Part time RN for General Radiology coverage in the Toms River Route 37 West office location. This is a great opportunity to join a growing and innovative outpatient radiology practice!
Part time, 20 hour per week positions at AMI are eligible for Paid Time Off (PTO), Holidays, 401k & Profit Sharing.
Responsibilities of the Registered Nurse (RN) include, but are not limited to:
- Assists the entire outpatient radiology team and multiple modalities in providing patient care throughout a variety of diagnostic tests and procedures, including obtaining IV access, administering medications to aid with the examination, and assessing patients using clinical judgement;
- Performs office related tasks and projects to ensure the efficient, orderly and timely delivery of patient care;
- Ensures communication of patient status and results is provided to all involved members of the healthcare team;
- Demonstrates appropriate level of empathy, understanding and interest in the needs of all patients referred to AMI, and acts as a patient advocate and radiologist liaison; and
- Performs other responsibilities and duties as required and assigned.
This Part time, 20 hour per week position includes a work schedule of 7:30am-4pm on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. This position will provide coverage in the AMI Toms River Route 37 West office location. Schedules and locations may change based on department needs.
Qualifications
- Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing and possess a current RN license in the State of New Jersey;
- Candidates must have a minimum of three (3) years of clinical RN work experience;
- American Heart Association (AHA) BLS & ACLS certifications required;
- Strong skills for IV therapy techniques;
- Possesses a comprehensive understanding of medications to include potential contraindications and side effects;
- Experience in identifying and understanding cardiac rhythms;
- The ability to identify, react, and respond quickly to a variety of emergent patient situations;
- Strong computer skills and experience with EMR required;
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills supporting a positive patient experience; and
- Candidates must be able to adapt to changing environments and situations while working independently.
