Sales – Nursery (Full-time/Part-time)
Are you an enthusiastic, friendly and outgoing self-starter with strong customer service skills, good communication and organization skills and a desire to succeed? Then this physically challenging position is for you!
Responsibilities include:
Receiving:
- Unloading tree, shrub & perennial deliveries, checking for accuracy and monitoring quality control
- Restocking plants in an organized and efficient manner
- Pricing, merchandising and displaying
Maintenance:
- Watering, weeding, cleaning and fertilizing plants
- Sweeping, cleaning and refreshing display areas
Sales/Service:
- Greet, assist and educate customers on plant choices and care
- Layout gardens/borders to generate sales and suggest complementary plants and tie-in items.
- Visual merchandising – create inspiring displays
- Load customers vehicles and secure large trees/shrubs when necessary
- Make customers smileJ!
Requirements:
· Experience in retail/wholesale sales and/ot the landscape industry a plus.
· Enthusiasm, strong customer service and communication skills necesary.
· Good work habits – get to work on time, be hardworking and honest, flexible to work whenever and wherever needed.
· Learn names and cultural requirements of trees, shrubs & perennal plants.
· Honest, reliable, trustworthy and responsible.
· Able to work outdoors - rain or shine.
· Can paint and use basic power tools.
· Good Physical Condition - able to lift at least 60 lbs. and push carts weighing serveral hundred pounds.
· Handle equipment safely and responsibly
· Team player – respect and work well with others for the good of the company.
· Helpful and friendly to customers and fellow employees.
· Able to read and write English
· Neat and clean appearance.
Helpful Skills:
· Able to operate a bobcat (skid steerer), forklift (hi-low) and other equipment as necessary.
· Proficient with hand tools and small power tools.
· Speak English and Spanish.

Pay: From $17.00 per hour
