Food and Beverage Manager for Health Care Services (Dietary Manager)

Salaried, full-time.
Earn a competitive salary between $60 - 72k annually, based on years of experience.
Additional compensation includes:
- Hourly employees:
- 1.5x Holiday Pay
- 1.5x Overtime Pay for every hour worked over 40 hours per week

Position Summary: The Dietary Manager is responsible for overseeing Health Center food service program and providing the level of supervision necessary to ensure that courteous and efficient service is delivered as well as high quality and nutritious foods, in accordance with policies and procedures that are established. This position reports to the Director of Food and Beverage.
- Assists in developing all menus for Health Center residents assessing preferences and nutritional needs.
- Assists in developing work assignments for all dietary personnel assigning specific jobs and spot-checking work to ensure standards are met. Ensures that all work is in compliance with local, state, and federal standards for sanitation, hygiene and health standards by observing dining services.
- Assures that each resident’s nutritional adequacy is met by utilizing the assurance of Nutritional Adequacy Policy.
- Maintains pertinent and appropriate records, reports, schedules, and studies as required by local, state, and federal regulations and otherwise requested.
- Coordinates Healthcare services with nursing services in cooperation with nursing personnel. Confers with other department managers regarding food service program and establishes an effective relationship with medical staff, nursing and other patient/resident care services. Communicates frequently with dietician on patient food service and therapeutic diets.
Education and/or Experience:
- High School diploma/GED required.
- A minimum of two years supervisory experience in food service operations of a health care setting.
- Hold a C.D.M. certification in healthcare.
- Certified in safety and sanitation in regards to food service.
- Experience in a long-term health care environment is preferred.
- Experience with performing clinical assessments on residents, meeting with Care Plan Team, performing input on MDS.
- Ability to professionally communicate with, understand, empathize with, work with and be tolerant of residents, families, visitors, peers, supervisors, and subordinates.
- Ability to interpret and explain menus, refer or answer questions, coordinate meal service process and understand requests.
- Ability to manage, mentor, and lead a diverse team of health center dietary personnel.
- Positive attitude and teamwork.
